Abstract

Pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidines and related fused heterocyclic compounds are found to have a wide usage as a pharmaceutically important class of compounds for numerous researchers [1]. They exhibit diversified pharmaceutical activities such as antifungal, antibacterial, neuroleptic, antihypertensive and antileishmanial activity[2].Also, pyrazolopyrimidine have been exploited as inhibitors of kinases [3] and have demonstrated antitumor activities[4]. Herein, ethyl-2-amino-4-chloropyrimidine-5-carboxylate 1(a-e) were prepared according to the previous procedure and treated with synthesized pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine-3(2H)-ones to obtainethyl 2-amino-4-(6-amino-3-oxo-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrazolo[3,4d]pyrimidin-1-yl)pyrimidine-5-carboxylatein good to excellent yields (Scheme 1).
