Title : ( Improving the Computational Efficiency of the DSMC Simulation of Micro/Nano Nozzles Flows Using Simplified Bernoulli-Trials Algorithm )

In this paper rarefied gas flow through micro/nano nozzles is considered with the aim of reducing the computational costs. The motivation is to obtain the same accuracy with lower "Particle Per Cell" (PPC) in the direct simulations Monte Carlo (DSMC) method. Simplified Bernoulli-Trials (SBT) algorithm is applied in the dsmcFoamStrath solver of the OpenFoam as the collision algorithm instead of the dominant collision algorithm in DSMC simulations that is “No-Time-Contour” (NTC) method. The efficiency of the SBT scheme in comparison with the NTC is investigated in details.
