Abstract
The main concern of the present study is to investigate the entropy analysis in the presence of velocity slip and temperature jump effects for an unsteady flow past a porous accelerating stretching surface using a semi analytical/numerical method, called Homotopy analysis method (HAM). The boundary-layer governing partial differential equations (PDEs) are transformed into highly nonlinear coupled ordinary differential equations (ODEs) consist of the momentum and energy equations using similarity solution. An excellent agreement is observed be-tween the obtained results of the current study and those of the previously published studies in an especial case. The effects of different flow physical parameters such as the unsteadiness parameter (A), Prandtl number (Pr), suction parameter (fw), velocity slip parameter (γ), and thermal slip parameter (φ) on the fluid velocity component, temperature distribution and entropy generation function are presented graphically and discussed in details.
