Abstract
Recently, it has been shown by many authors that quantile functions are ecient and equivalent alternatives to distribution functions in modelling and analysis of statistical data (Nair et al. 2013). In this talk, the quantile function is recalled and some reliability measures are rewritten in terms of quantile function. A quantile-based Shannon entropy function introduced by Sunoj and Sankaran (2012). Here, we consider the cumulative entropy (Rao et al. 2004, Asadi and Zohrevand, 2007) and obtain the quantile-based dynamic cumulative entropy (QDCE). Some properties of QDCE are presented.
