Abstract
Tirgan carbonate Formation which present Lower Cretaceous age has 129 m thickness in Estakhri section, lay down Shurijeh Formation continuously and conformably and overlay by Sarcheshmeh Formation. Field and laboratory investigations and studies revealed three facies belts which contain 10 sub- facies of Barrier, Lagoon anf Tidal Flat. According to type, size and vertical and horizontal dependency of sub- facies: these sediments seems to be deposited in a shallow carbonate platform, a kind of Ramp.
