Title : ( Emulsion Copolymerization of Silicone Oil Modified Vinyl Acetate-Butyl Acrylate Nanocomposite with Aid of Ultrasonic Technic for Use in Paint )

Dynamic light scattering (DLS) diagrams showed that the average diameters of VAc-BA latex and nanocomposite particle size were about 170 and 180 nm, respectively. DSC data and Viscosity of the latex were increased with addition of the silicone oil. Using ultrasonic method for dispersion of the oil in the water and surfactants media caused fully and uniform dispersion. The average diameter of silicone oil particle dispersed was about 50 nm. Fortunately, the prepared paint of the latex preformed have excellent wet scrub resistance.
