Abstract
Introduction: Isolated and decellularized extracellular matrix of mammalian tissues can be used as a scaffold for repair and reconstruction of bone defects. Materials & Methods: In this study, extracellular matrix of human trabecular and cancellous bone were used as a three-dimensional scaffold to investigate the migration and function of mouse bone marrow -adherent cells . The cells of the extracellular matrix have been removed and bone marrow adherent cells were cultured on decellularized matrix for different time periods. Results: Our results indicated that the cells were adhered, migrated and probably differentiated in the three-dimensional bone matrix. Discussion: Therefore scaffold is a good model to study cell polarity and movement is in vitro conditions and has a potentiality to be use for repair and renewal of bone defects.
