Abstract
Biological synthesis of silver nanoparticles using microorganisms has received profound interest because of their potential to synthesize nanoparticles of various size, shape and morphology. In the present study, aneco favorable method for the biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles using a marine luminescent vibrio species isolated from the water of Persian Gulf has been attempted. Molecular identification of the isolate using 16s rRNA geneanalysis showed its 99% similarity with Vibrio owensii. The isolate was found to have the potential to form silvernanoparticles extracellularly at 280C within 4 days. The biosynthesized silver nanoparticles were characterized byU9V-Vis spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and FTIR. The analysis results confirmed the formation of silver nanoparticles.
