Abstract

In the modern world women constitute a major part of the workforce and with regard to fierce competition between societies and urgent need to this workforce that constitutes half of the population of the country, it is not possible to ignore the women’s role in the social activities. On the other hand housekeeping and having children in addition to nurturing and dealing with children are amongst the great responsibilities of women. Given the fact that the government encourages people to have more children, it is important to know how influential this policy is in attention of employed mothers. Using questionnaire and selective concentration test for the women with teaching occupation and performing multiple regression analysis and co-variance on the data, it is shown that the number of children factor is one of the influential factors in reduction of selective attention of mothers among other factors such as family, occupational and demographic characteristics. In fact after job satisfaction factor, number of children is the most influential factor on selective attention.
