Abstract
Carbon nanotubes, due to their low mass and high stiffness, are a suitable choice for construction of nano resonator with high mass responsiveness. This article, with presenting the revised model of structural molecular mechanics, deals with the examination of frequency response of carbon nanotube. In analyses which are done, a single-walled bridged carbon nanotube is considered as a resonator, which a particle is joined to it. The response of the attached mass is obtained by doing parametric analysis. This experiment is repeated in different temperature conditions, for determining the effect of temperature on resonator behavior. The results indicate that we can obtain a linear relationship between resonator frequency and the attached mass in logarithmic scale, for the masses which are more than 10-5 fg. By increasing the environment temperature, the mass sensitivity of resonator will be decreased.
