Abstract

Source code is probably the most important artifact produced during a software project. Using semantic web technologies like RDF and Ontologies it is possible to produce a semantic layer over source code, through which semantic access to information stored in source code becomes possible. In this paper, two experiments on potential applications of such a semantic layer are reported. These include design pattern detection and detection of bad code smells.
