Abstract

Introduction: Increased levels of C - reactive protein and serum homocysteine increase the risk of coronary artery disease. The aim of this study was to compare the effects of aerobic exercise on cardiovascular biomarkers of active and inactive men. Methodology: Twenty-six men (ages: 18-23; mean: 19.73±1.77 years) were asked to take part in this semi-experimental study. The program training includes: 45-60 min per session, 3 times per week for 4 weeks participate in aerobic exercise. Before and after the exercise, serum lipids (total cholesterol, high density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein and triglyceride), Hcy and CRP were determined. Body composition, including weight, body mass index and fat percentage were measured. Dates were analyzed by repeated measure analysis of variance for differences of within and between groups; the level of significance was set at p<0.05. The program training includes: 45-60 min per session, 3 times per week for 4 weeks participate in aerobic exercise. Before and after the exercise, serum lipids (total cholesterol, high density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein and triglyceride), Hcy and CRP were determined. Body composition, including weight, body mass index and fat percentage were measured. Dates were analyzed by repeated measure analysis of variance for differences of within and between groups; the level of significance was set at p<0.05. Discussion: According to the results of four weeks aerobic exercise, on lipid index and cardiovascular biomarker (homocysteine, C-reactive protein) serum have a significant effect. Although the different researches have a different results, the researches believed that aerobic exercise improved the cardiovascular system and the risk of cardiovascular diseases reduced.
