Abstract

Background and Aim:Recently, researchers noticed to production of novel antibiotics by marine Streptomyces. Nowadays many novel antibiotic discover from marine Streptomyces. Because of antibiotic resistance, discovery of novel antibiotic was accentuated. The goal is study effect of mineral parameters on production of bioactive compound by Streptomyces ACS 135 isolated of Oman Sea. Methods:To achieve this goal, fermentation of the strain last for seven day and after centrifuging media and isolating supernatant, we used agar well diffusion test. We tried five different concentration to check the influence of each parameter. Results:The production of antimicrobial compounds was high when the strain was cultured in media with sodium chloride at the concentration of 1%, Dipotassium phosphate at the concentration of 0.1%. Magnesium sulfate had no influence on production of antimicrobial compounds Conclusion:We concluded diameter of inhibition zone enhanced after optimization and it showed minerals concentration had considerable effect on production of bioactive metabolite by Streptomyces ACS 135.
