Abstract
Dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) is a type custom power devices which has been conventionally designed based on AC/DC/AC converters. This topology suffers from a bulky capacitor and the corresponding problems. So in this paper the matrix converter topology is proposed for DVR and its performance and stability is investigated. The stability regions are defined regarding the system parameters such as the source side impedance, the injection transformer impedance and especially the filter elements.
