The symbiosis of arbuscular mycorrhizae with plant roots can improve plant responses, especially in drought stress, via improving water and nutrients uptake. The present study was carried out to evaluate influence of mycorrhiza (Glomus mosseae) on morpho-physiological characters and antioxidant defend systems in bean under drought stress condition. Mycorrhizal and non- mycorrhizal beans were investigated as factorial experiment based on complete randomized design with 4 moisture regimes including to 25, 50, 75 and 100 % field capacity (as control) with 3 replications. An experimental unit was included pots which sown five seeds in each, that inoculated with mycorrhiza (Glomus mosseae) or non-inoculated (Control). Results showed that mycorrhiza inoculation, increase root and shoot dry weight and decrease R/S ratio in drought stress condition. In mycorrhizal plants, the level of root colonization was maximum at FC 75%. In drought stress, P content of root and shoot was increased significantly, and K level of root was decreased in these plants. In drought stress, these had higher water relative content, transpiration level, activity of SOD, PPO and POX, Prolin content and leaf soluble proteins, and lower stomatal resistance than non- mycorrhizal plants. These results exhibited mycorrhizal plants, due to high absorption of P, have higher Co2 assimilation, leaf weight and photosynthetic capacity.
