Introduction and Objectives: Brucellosis is a zoonotic infection caused by the bacterial genus Brucella. The bacteria are transmitted from animals to humans by ingestion through infected food products, direct contact with an infected animal, or inhalation of aerosols. The disease is an old one that has been known by various names, including Mediterranean fever, Malta fever, gastric remittent fever, and undulant fever. The disease mainly involves cattle, sheep, goat, camel and pig and causes many economic losses. The aim of this study was to diagnosis brucellosis by Rose Bengal, indirect ELISA and Wright methods in sheep with history of abortion in north of Iran. Materials and methods: The blood samples were collected from 92 sheep with history of abortion (unvaccinated). Subsequently, Blood in plain tube was centrifuged at 6000 rpm for 5 min to obtained serum samples. The serum samples were aliquoted and stored at −20°C until tested. Three tests of Rose Bengal, Wright and indirect ELISA were performed on the samples. Analysis of data was performed by using SPSS21 software Results: The number of positive cases of brucellosis using the method of Wright, Rose Bengal, indirect ELISA, respectively 91/3 percent (84 cases), 100% (92 cases), 100% (92 cases), respectively. Conclusion: Prevention of brucellosis mainly involves education and control food and personal hygiene. Efforts should be made by responsible authorities to make practical phones. The results of this study showed that using more than one method (Rose Bengal and indirect ELISA) had a synergistic effect on serological diagnosis of brucellosis disease
