Abstract
In order to determine the age of Asmari Formation in the southern flank of Tamer anticline (vazak section) in Izeh zone 147 thin section have been studied. On the base distribution of benthic foraminifera led to identify 4 assemblage zones with Rupelian, Chattian, Aquitanian and Burdigalian ages. In order to better understand of the basin, in terms of sedimentation time, the Asmari Formation in the vazak section with Lali, Abolhayat, Kooh-siah And Dil sections based on biozones transect of correlation was compared. Based on this correlation, whatever we getting close to center of the basin from its edges, the conditions for the Asmari sedimentation, will be earlier and sooner ends.
