Abstract

Background and Objectives: The aim of this study was to compare the effects of aerobic exercise on cardiovascular biomarkers of active and inactive men. Materials and Methods: 26 active and inactive students with a range age of 18-23 years volunteered to take part in this semi-experimental study. The subjects participated in aerobic exercise for a period of four weeks consisting of three days a week. Blood samples were taken to measure serum Homocysteine, C-reactive protein and lipids indexes before and after the training period. Dates were analyzed by paired and independent samples t test for differences within and between groups. Results: The comparison of pre-post-test showed that the level of serum homocysteine, C-reactive protein in active group during training period reduces significantly (P<0\05). As well as, the body composition involved weight, BMI, WHR reduces significantly (P<0\05). Hence, TC, LDL-C, LDL-C/HDL-C and TC/HDL-C reduces significantly (P<0\05). Although, the levels of serum HDL-C increased significantly in active group. Conclusions: the researches beloved that aerobic exercise improved the cardiovascular system and the risk of cardiovascular dieses reduced.
