This review tries to represent the acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene (ABS) modifications and research potentials in the field of membrane technology in the absence of comprehensive review until now. Accordingly, ABS properties were presented at first. Next, ABS defects which can restrict its application were introduced. Moreover, this study covered the relevant researches regarding modification of ABS membranes. It was found out that there are a lot of points about ABS which should be surveyed until its application in membrane technology extends like widely used polymers. Finally, the insight for the future researches regarding ABS membranes was particularly investigated.
