Abstract
Abstract—This paper proposes a control system based on the predictive control for voltage source converter in DVR. The proposed control system is applied on a three phase distribution power system including the nonlinear load and DVR. The DVR is used to enhance the power quality problems such as sag, swell, harmonics and unbalance. The proposed control system predicts the injected voltages of DVR for all switching states and then the cost functions are evaluated for these voltages. Then regarding the cost function, the best Switching vector is selected and applied on VSC. The performance of the proposed method is examined through providing the necessary simulation and comparison using Matlab/Simulink.
