Abstract

Biological synthesis of nanoparticles is figured out by biological molecules which include proteins and enzymes. Large size of nanoparticle is one of the problems in the methods since the proteins adhere to the nanoparticles and increase the size of them and another reason is agglomeration of nanoparticles. Size of the nanoparticles has vital effect on chemical and physical characteristics of them. In this study, furnace effect on size of Pt nanoparticles synthesized by Actinomycete bacteria has been examined. We produced Pt nanoparticles using the cell lysis supernatant and after drying by oven, applying TGA test, we measured temperature resistance of the nanoparticles powder. The TGA test illustrated three peaks at temperatures 420, 520, and 650 C and we purified nanoparticles using the temperatures. The size of nanoparticles were also characterized by DSL. The best temperature and time length, according to size of the nanoparticles, determined 650 nm and 1 hour, respectively. Finally, by doing this action, the size of nanoparticles decreased from 600 nm to 36.75 nm.
