Abstract
In many real life applications there is a substantial heterogeneity between apparently identical repairable systems, which cannot be described by observed covariates. This unobservable heterogeneity is often called frailty in the survival analysis literature. The main purpose of this paper is to discus about the optimal allocation of minimal repairs and time duration of the service in such systems. A total expected cost function is introduced and optimization problem is studied based on it
