Abstract

Distribution feeder reconfiguration (DFR) is an optimization problem in distribution system which is used to improve the distribution network performance by changing the status of switches. In this study, a multi-objective framework is presented for dynamic distribution feeder reconfiguration (DDFR) along with capacitor allocation problem in distribution network over multiple time intervals considering distributed generators (DGs), energy storages (ESs) and solar photovoltaic (PV) units.The objective functions in this problem are the operation cost and energy loss. The DDFR problem is intrinsically complex and nonlinear, also this problem becomes more sophisticated where capacitor allocation is taken into account. Thus, it needs to be resolved with an accurate algorithm.For this purpose, this paper proposes a new hybrid evolutionary algorithm based on a combination of the particle swarm optimization (PSO) and shuffled frog leaping algorithm (SFLA)to solve the multi-objective DDFR along with the capacitor allocation problem. In order to investigate the efficiency of the proposed method, the problem is tested on a 33-node test system.
