Abstract
In this study, polyvinylidene fluoride-glass fiber (PGF) ultrafiltration (UF) composite membranes were prepared using the non-solvent induced phase separation (NIPS) and then utilized to regenerate used engine oil (UEO). The pure PVDF membrane was used for comparison to the PGF composite membrane performance. Membranes structure were characterized by analytical methods, for example, Attenuated total reflectance – Fourier transformer Infrared (ATR-FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Contact angle and flux behavior, which the PGF composite membrane showed the luminescent properties. As well, the physical and chemical properties of the oil and membrane rejection.
