Abstract
There are several entropy-type measures that exist in the literature of information theory. Among them, Shannon entropy plays an important role and has found applications in different fields such as electrical engineering, psychology, biology, economics, computer science, statistics and probability theory. In this talk, we intend to present some characterization results of a probability distribution based on entropy-type measures. The results will be useful tools for researchers in various fields who are interested in constructing a suitable goodness-of-fit test.
