Abstract

This paper considers the problem of repairable systems that are manufactured in different production lines and each system is sold with a warranty plan. Also,it is assumed that each system is affected by an unobserved random variable that is known as frailty random variable. The purpose of this paper is to find the optimal design of the production lines. To this aim, the nonhomogeneous Poisson process of power low type with frailty random variable is used to model the failure process of each system and the Bayesian D-optimal design criterion which maximizes the expected Shannon information is considered to find the optimal design.
