Abstract
Azo dyes displayed more resistant to degradation and deterioration, due to their chemical structure, in which aromatic compounds with one or more –N≡N– groups are present. Recently microbial treatment of azo dye contaminated such as biogenic nanoparticles has paid high attention since is more eco-friendly and fewer toxic metabolites. In this study, CuO nanoparticles was synthesized by green method for removal of Reactive Black 5. The results showed that the maximum amount of adsorption occurs in the first 60 minutes. The optimum pH was detected to be 5 for CuONPs. By increasing contact time and biosorbent dosage, removal of RB5 increased.
