Abstract
According to the widespread use of dyes in various industries, especially the textile industry, the existence of an innovative method for decolorization of wastewater such as adsorption is very important. Properties of nanoparticles including Small size, high speed in adsorption, low cost and their recoverability make them a suitable tool as a biosorbent. In this study, copper oxide nanoparticles were synthesized by a bacterial strain and were used to absorb the reactive black 5 azo dye (initial concentration 20 mg / L). The effects of some environmental parameters such as pH and adsorbent dosage on the adsorption process were investigated. The results showed that the maximum dye adsorption was achieved at an acidic pH (pH=2) and an adsorbent dosage of 0.08 g / l in 60 minutes.
