Abstract
One of the important issues in a warranty plan issued by sellers or in an insurance plan undertaken by insurance companies is determining the plan duration and the frequency of service provision in an attempt to minimize the costs or maximize the profits. In this paper, we determined the optimal extended warranty length with limited number of repairs in the warranty duration. For this purpose, a rate cost function is introduced and the optimal values of the warranty plan are obtained based on it.
