Abstract
Introduction • Globally, cancer accounts for a large proportion of deaths, and most therapeutic methods to eradicate cancer are unreliable, especially regarding drug resistance. Among all cancers worldwide, colon and rectal cancers are the third most prevalent. The prevalence of this condition has also progressively risen over the past few decades. Although medication and other treatment options have improved considerably recently, liver metastases are responsible for approximately 40% of colorectal cancer fatalities. • Researchers have observed surprising antitumor immune responses among parasite-infected individuals due to cross-reactivity. As a result, parasite antigens that are significantly immunogenic and exhibit a high level of homology with cancer antigens may be powerful immune stimulants against tumors
