Abstract
Abstract Today, tourism industry is growing significantly and it is an important factor in the economic development. Technology is critical in many situations and receives many attentions; although smart tourism is a concept that has received less attention, while it can be very effective in the growth of tourism industry. There are some beliefs that destination image is an important factor in attracting tourists and positive and strong images can play a role in people decision- making and their behavioral intentions. Tourist behavioral intentions are assessed by consumers\\\' willingness to visit or revisit, their verbal communications and feedbacks to service providers. Moreover, information search can have a moderate role. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the effect of smart tourism on behavioral intention mediated by destination image and moderation of information search. The population included visitors who have traveled to Mashhad in past three years, which was unclear. The model was tested by 440 valid responses. The data were collected through valid questionnaires in which reviewed and confirmed items for content and construct validity. Cronbach\\\'s alpha coefficient was used to determine questionnaire reliability. It was higher than 0.8 for all questionnaire variables that indicate high questionnaire reliability. SPSS and AMOS software, and Structural equation modeling were used to analyze the data. The results showed that smart tourism influence behavioral intentions directly and indirect through that destination image. The results also show that information search moderates the relationship between smart tourism with destination image and behavioral intention.
