Abstract
Since 1900, Electromagnetic waves have opened a new door to modern life by facilitating information access and expanding communication between people all over the world. Nevertheless, to limit the electromagnetic interference (EMI) disadvantages, the best solution is to use EMI shields. In this investigation, two parameters: 1) the total shielding of fine electro-spun PVA/CoFe2O4/Cu with different CoFe3O4 wt.%, and 2) the thickness of Cu coating at multilayered and single layer composites were studied. The results showed that by increasing the amount of CoFe2O4 nanoparticles in PVA fibers from 3.5 to 12.5 wt%, the total shielding increases from 5.1 to 14.25 dB. Also, by adding the thickness of Cu coating from 0 to 100 nm, the total shielding of PVA/12.5 wt% CoFe2O4 composite increased from 8 to 15.30 dB. Moreover, the total shielding of the multilayered composites was improved up to 18 dB.
