Abstract

Jiménez-Crespo’s Localization in translation is an intriguing contribution that provides much food for thought to reflect on the omnipresent phenomenon of localization, as we know it today, which encompasses all forms of digital texts from software applications to websites to video games. The book is organized into five sections that address both the general points common to all types of localization activities, as well as the aspects that are specific to types of localization activities. The title of the book is a meticulous reflection on one of the oldest discussions on the position of translation and localization.
