Title : ( Blockchain-Based Token Mechanism for Green Supply Chain Coordination )
Authors: Mohammadali Pirayesh ,Abstract
This paper investigates a supply chain consisting of a manufacturer and a retailer. The customer demand is sensitive to both the price and the greenness level of the product. The manufacturer can enhance the product’s greenness through various practices such as using eco-friendly raw materials, green transportation, and green manufacturing technologies. However, these efforts incur additional costs for the manufacturer. In this context, the retailer can offer incentives to the manufacturer to promote greener production, thereby enabling coordination within the supply chain. Unlike previous studies that have focused on coordination through contracts such as cost-sharing or revenue-sharing, this study introduces a novel mechanism in which the retailer allocates tokens to the manufacturer and customer via a blockchain-based platform to coordinate the supply chain. The efficiency and effectiveness of token-based coordination is demonstrated through mathematical modeling and numerical analysis.
