Abstract
This study aimed to synthesize iron oxide nanoparticles (Fe₂O₃) via a green biological process using the bacterial strain BS27 and to evaluate their efficiency in adsorbing Reactive Blue 19 (RB19) from aqueous solutions. The rapid growth of the textile industry has led to a significant increase in wastewater contaminated with synthetic dyes, posing serious environmental threats. Among various dye removal methods, adsorption is considered one of the most effective techniques due to its simplicity, low cost, and reusability. Fe₂O₃ nanoparticles, owing to their high surface area, chemical stability, and magnetic separability, are promising adsorbents for pollutant removal. The results of this study demonstrate that this approach can provide a sustainable and environmentally friendly method for treating textile wastewater.
