Abstract
A hesitant fuzzy number (HFN) is important as a generalization of the fuzzy number for hesitant fuzzy analysis and takes some applications that were discussed in recent literature. The contributions of this paper are in the first to provide the concept and motivation of introducing the HFNs, then to develop the hesitant fuzzy arithmetic for them. Finally present important of applications of HFNs on optimization and decision-making problems and show avenues for further research.
