Abstract

Contaminated poultry products such as egg have been identified as a principal food-borne source for salmonella spp. This study was carried out to investigate comparative antimicrobial effects of 11 essential oils derived from some medicinal plants and 7 antibiotics on five species of mentioned isolates along with two standard species of salmonella spp.
