Air pollution in big cities is mainly caused by burning fuel in vehicles engine. Efforts are made to minimize hydrocarbon fuel consumption both by modifying cars engine as well as changing the source of energy to clean resources. Other aspect is also involved in improving air pollution in the cities. Architectural design of streets in size and direction, location of heavy vehicles stations, height, width and distances of buildings are another subject to be considered in city planning. In this paper, the effect of wind direction combined with the factors involved in city planning is examined and vital affects are discussed.
