Background: Infertility is a major public health problem with physical, psychological and social dimensions. High prevalence of psychological problems have been reported in infertile women. The objective of this therapy is to examine the effectiveness of well-being therapy (WBT) and psychological well-being on vulnerability to depression in infertile women who are referred to Montasariya infertility center in Mashhad. Methods: Test-retest was administered in two experimental and control groups. A sample group of 22 infertile women was treated by WBT which were randomly assessed in two experimental (11) and control groups (11) for the level of psychological well-being (PWB) before and after the interventions. WBT was executed in 8 to 10 sessions according to Fava’s phases and assessed DASS-21 and psychological well-being scale (PWB) for specification of depression as pre and post-tests. Results: ANOVA showed a significant difference between pre and post treatment scores. Conclusion: The results suggested the feasibility and clinical advantages of adding WBT to repertoire of the treatment techniques in infertile women.
