Abstract

This study was on the evolution and morphology of kidney in H.huso larvae. According to the results obtained from this research, on 1-day-old the pronephros kidney with collecting canal (cc) and hemato-poitic tissue (hp) was distinguished bilaterally. On 3- days-old, the primordial mesonephric tubules (pmt), rounded cell clusters and a primary coelom cavity (cav) were observed. On 6-day-old, the pronephros was gradually degenerated and changed to mesonephric tubules (mnt). On 15- day-old, the collecting canal was resemble as a small canal and three parts could be distinguished in the kidney; head (H), body (B) and caudal (C) parts. The tubules were differentiated to proximal, distal and collecting tubules. On 21-day-old, the development process was similar to 15-day-old, but with reduction of hemato-poitic tissue, the renal corpuscles were developed. SPSS ANOVA version.19 was used for statistical analysis. According to stereological results in H.huso larvae from 1-day-old to 21-day-old, the total volume of kidney had significantly increased (P < 0.05).
