Abstract

Regarding to demand of energy in last decades, energy harvesting is one of the highlighted subject in science. One of the problems in energy harvesting is occupied volume of these systems. According to previous study, a small piezoelectric beam-column mass guided energy harvesting system is considered. One of the problem with this system is difficulty of theoretical method. Although presented exact method had high accuracy but computation was difficult and took time. Between Euler-Bernoulli and exact method which are simple-low accurate and difficult-high accurate respectively, a novel third method is presented in this study. The Binomial-Euler-Bernoulli method, although is not as accurate as exact method in all mass ratios, but is more accurate than the Euler-Bernoulli and simpler than exact method in big mass ratios. In general view it is shown in this study that for different mass ratios which method is more accurate and which is faster.
