Introduction: The neuronal circuits related to food intake regulation and appetite control are very essential in birds. Stereotaxic surgery is conducted for investigating the nutritional processes linked to food consumption in birds. In stereotaxic surgery, due to the openness of the surgical position and suturing, this position is exposed to bacterial infection, and the animal subsequently suffering brain inflammation. Dental acrylic reduces infection and brain inflammation due to the complete coverage of the surgical position. Therefore, in this study, dental acrylic will be used instead of sutures to cover the surgical position to reduce inflammation and infection. Materials and Methods: The present study was performed on 24 (12 per each group) male Ross 308 broiler chicks in 2 groups. Group 1: In this group, sutures were used to cover the surgical position. Group 2: in this group, acryl dental was used to cover the surgical position. Results: The results of this study showed that the use acryl dental in the surgical position, significantly reduces the infection, and mortality due to bacterial contamination and inflammation of the brain during the rest period after surgery. The number of deaths due to infection in the group that use the acryl dental instead of suturing is negligible. Conclusion: The use of suture to cover the surgical position, due to the openness of the suture path, the penetration of microorganisms is open and as a result, inflammation and brain infection occur. In the use of acryl dental, because the surgical position is completely blocked and the way for the penetration of microorganisms is closed, and as a result, infection and inflammation do not occur at the surgical position.
